1st of all, let us congratulate the new couple, Ben & Dyan, wishing them Happy Wedding, may god bless them and all the best! Dyan is Khaisui’s cousin and we were attended her dinner at Vistana Hotel. Well, it was a little bit different to those dinners we attended before. Basically it still the same dinner process, just without noisy Emcee, noisy environments, but with some ‘Father/Priest talking’ and the main difference was, we pray to ‘god’ before we eat. 😀 Yeah, typical christian trandition during meal I guess.
I’m not the photographer for them, just happened that my compact camera was out of battery. So I took out my SLR to simply shoot at will. Without interferred with other photographers, my shots were limited. Indoor shooting with dim lighting, it was kinda difficult without a flash unit. Anyway, its my virgin shots in a dinner. Hopes its not too bad to you. 😛
It’s time for all of you to do a little favour to our beloved “EARTH”. This year is the 1st year Malaysia participated in this program. Please be coorperative, supportive and then switch OFF all your lights for just an hour, from 8.30pm-9.30pm, 28th March 2009.
You might wonder how it could save our earth for just an hour, but who give a shit? Can’t you just stop all your favourite movies, karaoke singing, bath, air conditions or whatsoever for just an hour? Australia being the 1st country who did this, if it had no impact at all, the list of participants this year won’t grew tremendously to so many countries and cities! So please do your part as a living creature on earth, just switch off all your damn lights!!
It’s been sometime since I last updated my blog. Reason being was I’m too busy on my MCSE exam preparation. Finally, I have completed the MCSE exam and now I’m officially MCP,MCSA, MCSA+Messaging and MCSE!! 😀 Having the chance that KhaiSui ex-boss inviting her to help out on the event, I can follow her there to have some shoot out on the event.
Actually I just managed to shoot on the pre-event preparation, cause we left early. No chance to join the party as at 1st I heard was an invitation card needed to enter. Later on I found out that I just need to fill up the registration card will do. Sigh, that was already on the next day! 🙁 I missed all the free flow drinks!
We reached QE2 around 6pm and it was an ON/OFF rainny day. Bad day to shoot photo as the sky wasn’t blue, and the overall lighting kinda dark. So I needed to set higher ISO for those photos I shot. Anyhow still at an acceptable image quality.
Once upon a time, there wasn’t any DTS (Digital Theater System) or Dolby Pro Logic or AC3 equiped sound system theater show, not to mention 100 over inches projected screen, hard stiffened chairs/benches, hot and open air environments, chinese tea served and so on. But you get a live and real action show that not repeatable. Yeah, chinese opera drama it was. There were numerous types of chinese opera with Peking opera the most famous among. You can google on it’s history if you interested to know more.
Various genres of movies, repeatable, comfort cushions, various types digital surround sound systems, >100 inches projected screen, air-conditioned, pop corn, and so many more. There were numerous cinemas for you to choose with GSC the most famous one. Right, those are what you get nowadays.
Chinese opera was the only drama or musical dance they could have in the past. Why was it so interesting about? Because that was the only entertainment they had, so nothing else they could choose to watch beside this. In contrary of that, now we can choose from different cinemas with different genres of movies on show. Just that we don’t have the extra times to watch them all. As times flew, chinese opera evolved to another dimension. It’s audience changed from human to god/ghost. Whenever an event held for god or ghost, you’ll see a stage infront, you’ll know there will be a chinese opera show. Anyway, you won’t be able to see ‘them‘ watching even though it meant for ‘them‘, in fact all you’ll see are human being were watching. Unless you can see ‘them‘, then remember to let me know.
As promised in my previous post, will upload some photos I took for the chinese opera show. Anyone still got no idea what a Chinese Opera show was, check out those photos, I’m pretty sure once you saw the photo, you’ll know. Thanks my buddy Derick again for the invite on this photo shootout. If you don’t know him, refer to photo no.22. 😛 All comments and critics are welcomed.
Never really went for any photo shooting session with friend previously until yesterday (14/12/08). Having the chance that my buddy Derick invited me for a photo shootout on Chinese Opera @ somewhere near Permatang Pauh. Though I live not far away from there, but honestly, I never been to that place and didn’t even know there’s a solemnly grandeur temple. Should have pay more visit to that temple next time since I already knew it existent.
The Chinese Opera show was meant for celebration or anniversary for the temple. Heard its 12 years once for this event held. Thus, lucky me having this chance to visit. Those who missed the event, don’t feel bad, cause the actual date for the celebration event already passed, I missed it too. 🙁 But anyhow the opera show still on going for few more weeks I guess, you still able to watch the interesting opera show.
Took kinda many shots, so need some filtrations and editions before can show to you guys. Please stay tuned, more photos will be uploaded as soon as possible!
My elder sister finally made up her mind and went to Melbourne, Australia to further her study last Saturday, 18/10/2008. It was not easy for anyone to do so as she needs to give up her nursery business, friends and family here in Malaysia. But she wasn’t alone there, because my younger sister already there for years. She can take care of my elder sister and help her adapt to her new life better. If without anyone there and asked she to go alone, I wonder would she emotional crash of homesick…
Well, some of you might already know that I planned to migrate to Australia. The main requirements to get myself there are my IT skills. So I need to further enhance my existing IT skills or add a few more certificates for my disposal. That is what I am focusing on now. I am currently pursuing my MCSE certificates, total of 7 exam papers which I already passed a few and left a few more. Once done I need to submit all my certificates and IT working experiences for skill assessment, by Australia appointed association which is ACS (Australian Computer Society). After received the approval that show I’m qualified in the skill assessment, then only I can submit my PR application under skilled worker category. Anyway, it was a long ongoing process and progress. Some took years to finalize everything and got their PR (Permanent Resident). And this is my route to Australia!
My sister previously involved in education industry- nursery and kindergarten, which not under consideration for skilled worker migration. Under these circumstances, she got no choice but to further her study. She chose to study nursing course because of the benefits a nurse can get and most of all, nurse always a shortage in every country. Once she graduated, hopefully the local hospital can hire her and help her to acquire her PR. That is the better and easier way because when there is a company willing to sponsor you, your chances to acquired PR are doubled up! So that is her route to Australia!
Ok, so please stop asking me how’s my Australia plan and etc. I will keep you guys posted. Visit my blog occasionally and you’ll know what the stage and status. Read it yourself, when reach the stage that I got my PR approval, I will personally broadcasting to everyone I know!
Here some warming photos I took in airport when I send my sister off to Australia. Don’t cry la, it’s not the end, it’s just the beginning. We will take care ourselves, no worries! I will try my very best to join you as soon as possible, sis!
Orien – He’ll be off to England on coming Tuesday, 21/10/2008. We would like to wish him all the best and good luck in search for £-Pound Sterling…. Anyone who just got to know about this, perhaps can give him a call to wish him before the date stated above.
Perhaps some of you might not know him, its definitely not a fruit (Orange) that going to sell off to England. Hmm… I dont really know how to write his chinese name, but pronounciation is abit similar to “Orange juice” in chinese. Anyway, if that couldnt helped to refresh your mind, probably look at the photos, you should know. By the way, pictures are freshly brew out from camera directly, no mods at all. Sorry if it looks ugly to you.
He’s applied WHV – Working Holiday Maker Visa which allowed you to have two years visa in England. This visa is actually meant for travel visa, jus that you are allowed to work part time to gather your travelling funds throughout the 2 years period in England. But professional job are not allowed, only those lower labour work like wash plates and waiters only. Dont ever underestimated this kind of job, it could bring you some fortunes if you had proper planned and well spent. The currency exchange rate to pound is quite high, 1 pound = ~RM6.10. So imagine you brought back around £90k, you’ll be a half millionair in Malaysia. Interested? Call him or browse around WWW for more information on this WHV.
We organized a farewell YC(yam char) session for him. As mentioned, YC session of caused no buffet food or whatsoever, just tea. The YC session held at Old Town, Autocity. Our usual hang out place. Actually its a nice place for gathering and normal chitchat session with friends, although abit noisy due to the “DREAM” pub is just next door. Anyhow, raise your voices will be fine or choose another corner end near Sega where much quieter.
Ok, share some photos I took during the YC session, his farewell gathering. Once again, we wish him all the best, and perhaps some sourveniers for us when he’s back here. :))
